Most of my Christian life has been spent either sending others or going on mission trips. I have been affiliated with many organizations that have done many good things. I have served locally in my home state of Texas from meals for the homeless with Matthew 25 Ministries, worked with Convoy of Hope after wild fires ravaged Austin, and done hurricane recovery after Ike hit and devastated our state. Internationally, I have served Afghani immigrants in the UAE (in hostile Muslim territories with Thirst No More) and joined my local church to help in Dominican Republic. All of these trips and organizations are good and profitable toward Kingdom building, but it wasn't until I joined efforts with Reaching a Generation (RaG) that God began to change me. RaG is so much more than drilling wells for clean water, teaching young women skills and educating to support themselves and providing a Christ-centered church for youth who have no other examples. All that is good, but RaG created an environment where God could bring me to an end of myself. Yes, I served others and helped build His Kingdom, but through RaG's ministry, God helped me break the chains of depression, anxiety and disappointment the enemy had fed me that I was a bad father. God used my trips with RaG to help me overcome my fear of failing and began to mold me into a leader.

I could go on for days, but you don't know me, so these are just stories for you. My prayer for you is that God begins to write stories on the tablet of your heart and I could not recommend a more Christ-centered organization that RaG for you to begin your journey.
